2019 Hastwell and Lightfoot Vermentino 750ml

Vermentino is part of our Mediterranean collection.
We started the planting in 2000 and now have 6 varieties with their origins in Italy or Spain. They are varieties well-suited to the growing conditions of McLaren Vale and deliver the bright fruit flavours of the Southern European climate.
This is a bright, fresh wine combining the warmth of stone fruit with the zip of lemon zest or grapefruit. Herbs and hazelnut are also there to be found. When it comes to food, nothing could be better than pan fried wild barramundi as a partner. 12.5% Alcohol

Vermentino (ver-mehn-tee-noh) is grown on the island of Sardinia, and it make perfect sense that Vermentino suits the Australian and McLaren Vale warm climate. Styles range from light and fresh to rich and textural and are considered similar to Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio and Riesling.
